Add a name-pronunciation section on people's Platform profiles

Professors understandably have a lot of trouble with a lot of names, and even if it could be solved by people repeatedly correcting the professors, a) not everyone feels comfortable doing so and b) it can often feel disruptive of class to, after every time the professor says your name, correct his/her pronunciation.
The point is that for whatever reason many professors have trouble pronouncing the names of many students.
Adding a section on each student's Platform profile (or somewhere visible to classmates & professors) for students to write out phonetically the pronunciation of their name could help solve this problem.

Or let the student record the pronunciation and each time teacher trying to call the student, they just click the button. +_+

@Rinad of course, definitely not blaming the professors here. I know they have a hard time of it. This suggestion is less based on the past 2 weeks, though, than on last semester, where even by the end there were multiple people in each of my classes whose names had been consistently mispronounced (either they had told the professor the correct pronunciation and then stopped reminding him/her, or they didn't feel comfortable correcting them, or any number of other things). I think this is probably a simple solution (although, not sure) to what is a fairly small problem that can nonetheless be frustrating.

I really like this idea and think it's considerate. However, I think we need to give them a break on our end. This is only the second week into the semester--I'd absolutely agree if this had been our 6th week and professors are still mispronouncing names. If you're uncomfortable correcting them in class, you could type in the chat or email them privately with a recording of how to say your name (this is relatively easy with current technology). Almost all professors are respectful and thoughtful regarding our name pronunciation. Maybe if you were in a lecture hall of a 100 students, it would be an issue to stop a professor in the middle of a class and correct their pronunciation. But your classes are capped at 19 students and it takes 8 seconds or less (speaking from experience) to correct them. I am by no means disregarding your idea though. I think it's wonderful.
